An evidence-based therapy modality, originally created for PTSD. EMDR works great for anxiety, depression and mental health-related concerns in general. This therapy approach is great for first responders and military personnel, as well as anyone with an identified issue that seems to keep them "stuck", held back or continually triggered.

The Gottman Method is the first evidence-based modality to thoroughly examine the interaction of couples using multidimensional statistical analysis. An evidence-based therapy modality for the treatment of anxiety, depression and self-esteem. However, IFS can be used to treat PTSD and other mental health issues as well. It also works easily in conjunction with other types of therapy. IFS is based on the well-researched theory that our minds are made up of our "core self", as well as "parts", which develop from adverse life experiences, in an effort to protect from future harm. These "parts" are often in conflict, which explains why we sometimes describe internal tension by saying things like "part of me wants to (fill in the blank) but the other part is afraid", etc.. This approach to therapy was developed by Dr. Richard Schwartz, who theorized that our "core self", as well as the "parts" which make up our psyche are like a family interacting with each other. The basis of IFS therapy is to explore how the "core self" and "parts" that make up our psyche function together to form an internal system, in an effort to embrace the positive intentions in which our "parts" developed and therefore restore internal harmony, as well as leadership of "family dynamics" to the "core self".
