Braiden Green is an Oklahoma state board certified Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S), with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Southern Nazarene University. She has been working in behavioral health for more than eight years, beginning as a Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Specialist and Case Manager, an occupation in which she taught coping skills and connected clients to resources within the community. As a therapist, Braiden has received specific training in treatment practices for a variety of adult, as well as childhood and adolescent mental health care needs. Braiden has completed training, qualifying her for certification in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). Additionally, Braiden has completed level I of the Gottman Method training and has received additional training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy and Child Play Therapy, as well as in an evidence-based approach for identification and intervention of co-dependency and narcissism. Additional information regarding the therapy modalities Braiden is currently providing can be found within the “services” tab on our website. Braiden enjoys providing trauma therapy and the majority of the work she does is centered around treating posttraumatic stress in clients, ages 12+, including military and first responders and their families. Braiden has also completed a Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) course and received additional training in Traumas in Law Enforcement to better allow her to serve our first responder population. Behavioral therapy, family therapy, individual adult and adolescent services, as well as other forms of general counseling are included in her scope of practice as well. Braiden practices from the belief that effective therapy is widely based on the ability to apply evidence-based theoretical interventions that best fit the needs of the individual client. When working with adults and older teens, specifically, Braiden considers herself to be more psychodynamic in her theoretical approach. However, her background and training in working with children during her graduate-level internship has shaped a behavioral and cognitive behavioral theoretical approach into her practice, as well. Braiden is currently in network with Oklahoma Blue Cross Blue Shield (OK BCBS), Health Choice, Aetna, Employment Benefits Management System (EBMS), Magellan, United Healthcare; OCPD's and OKCFD's EAP programs; Champ VA; Cigna; WebTPA; and Nomi. She also provides private pay options, including sliding scale rates, when needed. Braiden is currently offering sessions both virtually and in-person, during normal business hours, Monday through Thursday.
